Frequently asked questions

Why is a well-structured loyalty programme so important for the success of the company?

Loyalty programmes directly influence the retention and return of the customers and thereby the profitability of the company, since the investment into existing customers is far cheaper that the investment into attracting new customers.

Research conducted by recognized professionals has shown that the retention of 5–10% of the customers prior to their leaving to the competition may increase the company’s profit by up to 100%.

Which companies usually decide to implement loyalty programmes?

A loyalty programme is a very efficient marketing tool for large and small store networks and independent sellers of various products (clothes, footwear, sports equipment, toys, children’s equipment, groceries, etc.), personal services providers (from banks, insurance, cosmetics, hairdressers, tourist services, etc.), hotels and tourist services providers, transport services providers (airlines, taxi services).

What is a loyalty programme?

A loyalty programme is a systematic and planned marketing approach used by the company to raise the loyalty of the customers with given incentives. The most important objectives of the loyalty programme are:

  • reducing the number of consumers going to the competition;
  • encouraging a long-term relationship of the customer towards the company, store or trademark;
  • increasing the value of the individual purchases made by the consumer;
  • increase of purchase frequency of the consumer;
  • increase in income and profit.

What are the advantages of plastic accreditation cards?

Plastic accreditation cards are significantly more robust and durable than paper cards. They represent a fast and affordable solution in the event of needing small quantities, such as up to ten cards, or in the event of needing larger quantities, such as several hundred or several thousand cards. Most cards are usually produced a few days prior to the event; although cards for late orders can be produced a day prior to the event or even on the day of the event.

Does the selection of single-sided or double-sided print affect the price of the accreditation cards?

Yes, the selection of single-sided or double-sided print does affect the production price. Single-sided printed cards are cheaper than double-sided printed cards and are the right choice if the cards are used in combination with badges. In the above situation, the badges prevent the card from flipping over and that only the front, printed side is visible; whereas, the back of the card will remain hidden for most of the time.

Double-sided printed cards can be printed with the same pattern or a different pattern can be used for individual sizes. If cards are used in combination with neck straps, we recommend the selection of double-sided printed cards with the same pattern printed on both sides, since cards attached to a neck strap tend to turn and by using this production method it will make no difference which direction the card is facing.

Is the price of the cards affected by the number of colours used for printing and subsequent printing of names and surnames of the participants?

With quantities up to 500 pieces, the number of colours does not affect the price of the card production, since the costs of thermal re-transfer printing are not affected by the card image. This of course applies to CMYK colours. For a small additional payment, we can also produce cards with a prestigious appearance that incorporate metallic colours (e.g. gold, silver, etc.).

Normally the price includes the printing of participant data, such as name, surname, country, etc. Organisers are spared from dealing with time-consuming print preparation, since a special application for printing cards that captures the variable data from the Excel table.

What are Xtended cards and where are they most often used?

Xtended cards or extended cards are approximately 1.5 times longer than plastic cards of a standard size, since their dimensions are 140 × 54 × 0.76mm. Xtended cards may be produced with single-sided print or double-sided print with graphical images of the events or the logo of the sponsors, and may include information on the participants (e.g. photograph, name, surname of the participant or the name of the company). The graphical image is printed by using high-quality offset printing during the card production; whereas, variable data (names of the participants, etc.) are printed during the personalization phase, which takes place a few days prior to the event or on the day of the event.

The main advantage of the Xtended cards are their attractive appearance and their size, together with additional space for advertising the event sponsors. Xtended cards are most often used for accreditation of the participants of the events. They are suitable for sports events, business events, cultural events, fairs, congresses, concerts …

What are XXL cards and where are they most often used?

XXL cards or extended cards are approximately 2.5 times larger than standard sized plastic cards, since their dimensions are 140.0 × 87.7 × 0.76mm. Xtended cards may be produced with single-sided print or double-sided print with graphical images of the events or the logo of the sponsors, and may include information of the participants (e.g. photograph, name, surname of the participant or name of the company). The graphical image is printed by using high-quality offset printing during the card production; whereas, the variable data (names of the participants, etc.) are printed during the personalization phase, which takes place a few days prior to the event or on the day of the event.

XXL cards are an appropriate choice for most popular media events with more than 500 attendees and as seasonal cards for sports and cultural events, since they are significantly more durable than similar paper cards.
